Very soon LG is going to launch a smartphone with curved and flexible screens in 2014. The light-emitting diode (OLED) panels in these phones are made of plastic rather than glass which makes them both flexible and unbreakable, and allows the creation of foldable designs which could soon change the high-tech smartphone market.
According to Dr. Sang Deog Yeo, executive VP and CTO of LG Display “The flexible display market is expected to grow quickly as this technology is expected to expand further into diverse applications including automotive displays, tablets and wearable devices. Our goal is to take an early lead in the flexible display market by introducing new products with enhanced performance and differentiated designs next year,”.
This awsum curved screen phone will be just 0.44mm thin and have a radius of 700mm. With weight just 7.2 gm, this curved screen phone will be the first thinnest flexible OLED panel for smartphones. Also the upcoming phone of 6inches will bend from top to bottom.
So guys it is the right time we can wait eagerly for some high-tech and cool devices from LG with flexible and bendable displays.
