A frustrating time for users of Yatra, one of the India’s leading online travel agency that offers its customers rail tourism packages , domestic and international flights, weekend holidays, hotels and trains seems to have forgotten to renew its domain name expired on 9th August causing inconvenience to its large customerbase worldwide. India ranks second biggest recipient in Facebook $1M Bug Bounty !!

Recently a giant social networking website Facebook said that it has paid over USD 1 million in the past two years to bug hunters or security researchers who finds and reports bugs on his website. Amazing discovery is that India is ranked as second biggest recipient in Facebook bug bounty program.  The social networking major noted that “The countries with the most bounty recipients are, in order, the US, India, UK, Turkey, and Germany. Apple’s Developer Portal Hacked !!

Apple’s developer portal has been hacked on Thursday 18 July. An intruder attempted to obtain some personal info from registered developers from developers website, Apple has announced.

“Last Thursday, an intruder attempted to secure personal information of our registered developers from our developer website. Sensitive personal information was encrypted and cannot be accessed, however, we have not been able to rule out the possibility that some developers’ names, mailing addresses, and/or email addresses may have been accessed,” wrote Apple. Google Bought Waze, an Israeli Mapping Service For $1.1B !!

Google has  bought Waze, an Israeli Mapping Service on Tuesday giving a social boost to its already-strong mapping and mobile businesses.

Waze is a social mapping start-up that features real-time traffic data provided by users to help drivers and users  find the fastest route to a destination. Waze has already set up a base of nearly 50 million users around the world. Waze tracks their movements via GPS to generate live information about roads and traffic and also users can add their own information about events, accidents, police speed traps and road hazards. Google has cleared that Waze map service will remain separate from its own map service. Google also declares that they will plan to incorporate its powerful search capabilities features into Waze.
