Today Microsoft has released Node.js tools for Visual Studio in Alpha which is one of the most popular platform for writing server side code.
Node.js is a platform built on Chrome’s JavaScript runtime to build fast, robust and scalable network applications.
The Apache-licensed Node.js Tools for Visual Studio allows developers to edit and debug node.js code right in the Microsoft IDE. It also gives web developers the ability to easily deploy applications to Windows Azure and remotely debug node.js instances running on other machines.
The node.js tool for visual studio uses the standard node.exe and the V8 debugger. It currently supports editing and debugging locally as well as remotely (Windows/MacOS/Linux) and Azure Web Sites and Cloud Service.
