
Sony has launched the world’s first pen drive for android, tablets and other smartphones in India. The new USB drive is said to be “2-in-1” device, with dual micro USB and USB 2.0 connectors for fast and easy back-up.
Users can use this pen drive in smartphones, desktops as well as laptops. The Sony’s dual USB pen drive is available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB and have been priced have been priced at Rs 746, Rs 1,399 and Rs 2,633 in India. This pen drive is compatible with all kind of android devices (using Android version 4.0.3-4.3, with planned future compatibility for Android version 4.4.). Director of consumer media marketing, Sony Electronics, Viviano Cantu, said, “These new drives combine convenience, peace of mind and performance and are perfect for mobile multi-tasking.”
The 2 in 1 pen drives can be used to copy data between different devices and can also be used as an additional or temporary storage for your smartphones and tablets. On one end of the pen drive there is the micro USB connector, while on the other end there is the full-size USB connector which is used for transferring data to desktops. No extra cord or network is needed for transferring data.
